A Simple Breathe

I take a deep breath, knowing all that stands before me is but a dream,

Programs swirling in a vicious cycle… Like a tornado,

But I know it could evaporate with a thought in my mind,

Like a stale breath I feel I’ve been holding in,

I exhale the reminder of my endless pain,

Is there something to gain from standing in the rain?

Are there tears to cry, or have I run dry?

I don’t know where the wind will take me, or where the soul will lead me,

But I know there is a song that is waiting to free me,

I feel it like a knowing within my bones,

That ‘no, I am not alone.’
